THE PROWLER TOUR: GET TO KNOW WATERPARKS’ STACKED OPENING LINEUP
Waterparks — or “God’s favorite boy band,” as dubbed by the lead singer — recently announced a tour to their fanbase’s surprise. Hitting nearly 30 cities across the United States starting in November, Waterparks’ THE PROWLER TOUR will be in the midst of the band’s newest musical era, one that has a lot more to explore.
Originally from Houston, Waterparks consists of lead vocalist Awsten Knight, guitarist Geoff Wigington and drummer Otto Wood. Releasing music since 2011, the band has five studio albums and three EP’s under their belts, with an unnamed sixth record in the works.
The first single for the new album, “RED GUITAR,” was released on July 18, just a few days before the tour announcement and sale. While the presale occurred just three hours after the original announcement, Knight made sure to get online and DM fans the access code for presale tickets and VIP to ensure they went to real fans; not scalpers.
While all of the openers haven’t yet been revealed, as Knight teased, THE PROWLER TOUR already features an insanely stacked lineup ranging from I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME to chloe moriondo to The Plain White T’s.
If you’re seeing Waterparks this year and need a beginner’s guide to the openers, this is for you.
I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME
The Salt Lake City-based solo project, typically shortened to IDKHOW, is fronted by bassist Dallon Weekes. A longtime friend to Waterparks, Weekes created the indie-pop IDKHOW in 2014 and has released two full-length albums and three EPs since.
Their most recent album, the 2024 GLOOM DIVISION, featured songs “WHAT LOVE?,” “SATANIC PANIC” AND “GLOOMTOWN BRATS” and garnered high praise from fans.
IDKHOW will join Waterparks on the first three dates of the tour.

CHLOE MORIONDO
Born and raised in Detroit, chloe moriondo is a singer-songwriter that has been described as having a blended indie-rock and bedroom-pop style of music. In 2021, moriondo released her first album under a record label, Blood Bunny, which included the song “I Want To Be With You.” This track was featured in the popular Netflix show “Heartstopper” along with Waterparks’ “Telephone.”
moriondo will join Waterparks on nine dates of THE PROWLER TOUR.

HEART ATTACK MAN
The Cleveland punk-rock band — consisting of singer Eric Egan, guitarist Ty Sickels and drummer Adam Paduch — have been around for over ten years, with four studio albums and three EPs under their belt. Most recently, Heart Attack Man released their 4th album Joyride The Pale Horse in April and embarked on a tour in support of the record.
Waterparks and Heart Attack Man have known each other for a while, most notably the two bands getting opening slots on blackbear’s 2022 tour. Heart Attack Man also featured Knight on the 2024 remix of their song “Like A Kennedy.”
Heart Attack Man will appear at five dates with Waterparks this winter.

NOV. 29 - COLUMBUS
DEC. 2 - ST. LOUIS

WESGHOST
With WesGhost, it’s as if Spider-Man went on the stage. Sporting a knitted ski mask in performances and video appearances, WesGhost has yet to reveal his identity to the world. Using this mysterious edge, WesGhost has been able to curate a unique sound and captivate a wide, young audience, blending pop-punk with the online world.
WesGhost has released two albums since 2024, with one including a feature from Diggy Graves. A majority of his songs focus on and speak to the ostracization many young people feel today, turning to online communities to feel seen and heard.
Wesghost will join THE PROWLER TOUR at both Florida dates.
NOV. 10 - TAMPA
NOV 11 - ORLANDO
FOXY SHAZAM
A rock band from Cincinnati, Foxy Shazam was formed in 2004. After taking a hiatus in 2014, the band returned in 2020 with their 6th studio album Burn, released under their own self-made label Eeeoooah.
A 2010 issue of magazine Alternative Press compared Foxy Shazam to the likes of Queen and My Chemical Romance due to their intense use of theatrics on stage, calling them a band that is best seen live.
Foxy Shazam will join Waterparks on five dates of THE PROWLER TOUR.
DEC. 8 - SEATTLE
DEC. 9 - PORTLAND
DEC. 12 - SAN FRANCISCO
DEC. 13 - SACRAMENTO

PLAIN WHITE T’S
Formed in 1997, the pop-rock band Plain White T’s have been pumping out hits for almost three decades now, including “Hey There Delilah” and “Rhythm of Love.” The former received two Grammy Award nominations in 2008 and both songs achieved platinum status.
Since their debut, The Plain White T’s have released nine studio albums. Lead vocalist Tom Higgenson remains the only original member in the band today.
Knight has joked online about Plain White T’s joining the tour, making the comment that “Hey There Delilah” and Waterparks’ 2019 song “Turbulent” have never before been played live in the same night before — and this is exactly the reason everyone needs to buy a ticket, according to Knight.
The Plain White T’s will play the last two shows on THE PROWLER TOUR.
DEC. 17 - PHOENIX
DEC. 18 - LOS ANGELES
While there are still three months until the U.S. tour kicks off, fans don’t have to wait too long for the band’s next public appearance. Waterparks will be travelling to the United Kingdom later this month to play the Reading & Leeds Festival — this being their first live performance as a band in over a year. Waterparks will also be embarking on a small show run in September, hitting only Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City to play “secret shows” that Knight says are the smallest, most intimate venues the band has played since 2017.
