LAURA PIERI SHARES “FLOWN AWAY” AHEAD OF NEW EP
Laura Pieri, who’s been releasing music since 2019, has swooped in this year with an incredible new single, “Flown Away.” This song is designed to be the leaping off point of the reworking Frankie, her 2024 EP, which Pieri is revamping into its own album, Frankie On The Dancefloor. Pieri grew up in Brazil and recently has been going between New York and Los Angeles. “Flown Away” is just one of many of her fantastic songs, and it showcases her unique sound and brilliant writing abilities that make people want to dance.
“Flown Away” features an incredible beat, understandable with Pieri’s dance-pop mindset, and would fit perfectly at any house party. With a fun buildup that sets the energy for the entire song, the track can brighten any room.
Laura Pieri’s vocals deserve their own mention as well. Her high notes and dynamic sound keep listeners intrigued and hooked on “Flown Away.” Especially during the chorus, Pieri’s voice is clear and strong. Her range between the low and soft sound she keeps during the verses and the power from the chorus contributes to the compelling nature of the track.
“Flown Away”'s lyrics carry a lot of weight as well. The chorus stands out with lines saying “I’m not even sorry / that I’ve flown away / I don’t need to worry / I’ll shake you off of me.” The song speaks of getting rid of someone who was holding the singer back and now finally being free and flying away with no regrets. The beginning of the song also calls out, starting with “For you, everything was black and white / like if you tried you could control time / I made myself smaller for you / believed in potential without proof.” This sets the scene perfectly for the chorus.

In addition to this new release, a short feature film is attached to her previous EP Frankie, co-written with an all-female team and executive produced by Skyler Cocco. All about reclaiming her voice and power, the singer-songwriter is in the process of making her voice louder all while surrounding herself with powerful, fellow creative minds like herself.
