“Don't Sweat It” — Daisy Grenade is back with a summertime hit
Daisy Grenade is back with another hit and this time the duo has given us a track that is truly impossible not to get up and dance to. Released on June 20, this song became ours just in time for summer to set in, giving us a summer girl-rock anthem.
Alt-pop duo Daisy Grenade duo consists of Dani Nigro and Keaton Whittakker — two women rockers from New York City with a love for performing that have taken their personal experiences with love, loss, growing pains and girlhood and perfectly curated them as songs to dance and scream to. They currently have two EP’s on their roster, Sophomore Slump (2022) and Cult Classic (2023).

Daisy Grenade has toured with artists in the alternative scene such as Waterparks and Fall Out Boy, with their most recent opening slot being on Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens’ show-stopping summer tour. Between their incredible chemistry mixed with hard hitting vocals, heavy crowd engagement and, of course, their choreographed dances (and synchronized splits), Daisy Grenade has established themselves as a female-fronted powerhouse duo, breaking bounds in the scene every day.
Every element of this track screams summertime, “Don’t Sweat It” is one you can scream in the car with your friends or even just dance alone in your room to. The lyrics give us a story,, “June and July, feelings are fading/Like your touch on my thigh/seasons are changing/but we had a good time, it was vacation.” depicting a summer fling where someone becomes too attached and needs a reminder of what the relationship is destined for.
The build up in the beginning of “Don’t Sweat It” sets the scene, preparing listeners for a soft punch of the drums and guitar. “Don’t sweat it, baby, don’t sweat it, sweat it / ‘Cause we’re gonna forget it at the end of the night / End of the summertime,” The duo sings in unison, drawing the listener in with glam-pop instrumentals and melodic harmonies from both Nigro and Whittakker. The vocals are light and airy giving the song its “glittery” feel.
This track takes a very 80s-pop/glam influence with sounds similar to artists like Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Prince. Daisy Grenade’s range continues to expand with each release, proving their ability to break from the mold and prove themselves as the true musicians and performers they are. Nigro and Whittakker even created a dance (with a tutorial of course) for their song that you can learn here to add even more fun to the listening experience.
Daisy Grenade are currently on tour supporting Honey Revenge for The Loving and Losing Tour. Don't miss out on this incredible lineup of artists by grabbing tickets here.
