Since she started releasing music in March 2025, her sound has been musically consistent, with characteristic dreamy vocals, deep resonance, and atmospheric production. Her music, both sonically and lyrically, comes across as Tumblr reminiscent, sure to be a crowd pleaser to anyone who’s reblogged a photo of their latte art and the sunset or has been influenced by American Apparel.

Of course, Ali Wolv’s music transcends 2016 inspired lifestyle elements. Her music has always been raw and honest, and the stripped back, echoey production reinforces this. She brings the content of her lyrics to the foreground with the production existing to complement it, and “Let You In” is no exception.

“I’m not the person I was before / I don’t know who I am anymore / so I won’t let you get close to me“

The track begins with hauntingly beautiful, reverb heavy vocals that cut to the chase, showcasing the intricacies of Ali Wolv’s thoughts, like a sonically artistic digital diary. Her voice cuts through the hazy production like a knife, engaging in a raw, honest dialogue with herself, establishing themes of identity and introspection, and immediately immersing the audience in the reflection of personal evolution occurring in her head. In the prechorus, she sings:

“That’s the thing with this small town / think they’ve got me figured out”

Ali Wolv narrows in on how others may be quick to judge, creating not only false assumptions about her, but also having the potential to cloud her own perception of herself, an incredibly difficult element to deal with when your self-definition is still in flux. The small town environment can be a suffocating, isolating experience, and she highlights how people in that situation can make misaligned statements behind closed doors.

Following this, she enters the hazy, dream-esque chorus, singing:

“You’ll never get into the world I'm living / I’ll never let you”

The chorus is the heart of “Let You In,” highlighting Ali Wolv’s established identity, sense of self, and self respect, announcing to both the world and herself that she is always willing to put herself first and prevent anyone from standing against her road ahead. These lyrics act as the rip current of the song, pulling us in and keeping us there in this journey of self-discovery. Through Ali Wolv’s storytelling as well as the sympathizable feelings of figuring oneself out, the song, in essence, is a brilliant, standout establishment of self reflection and respect, incorporating vulnerability to put out a striking, cathartic statement.

“Let You In,” as well as the rest of Ali Wolv’s discography, holds a unique space in the music realm, tying varying musical components together seamlessly with her clever prose and unique disposition. The spotlighted vocals overlaid on the soft production, bound together with a hazy echo resonating off all of the sounds to create the perfect, cinematic sound, all culminating in a track that carries intention and authenticity. Whether you’re still figuring yourself out or you're trying to establish your sense of formulated identity to the world, “Let You In” speaks to the intricate, often messy process of becoming unapologetically yourself.
