THE TWO LIPS ON DREAMY BEDROOM POP MEANT FOR THE STAGE
The LA-based indie-pop duo The Two Lips (formerly known as The Tulips) are stars in the making. Blending elements of indie and bedroom pop, along with influences from artists like Lily Allen and The Marías, The Two Lips have found a sound that is just right for them and resonates with the right group of people. Their latest single, “Clue,” reflects exactly what the quintessential sound of The Two Lips is.

Crave Music Magazine attended 1824’s press conference with The Two Lips on July 31, where they gave insight on their musical influences and what they love about working as a duo.
In just under a year, best friends Andrea and Julz, better known as The Two Lips, have seen their career undergo massive changes following the 2024 release of their song “Still Love You (Todavía)” which garnered over 30 million streams on Spotify. The song found massive success after resonating with listeners, leading it to go viral on Tiktok. Despite their newfound fame, the girls still stay humble and true to themselves all while doing it together.
A Lizzy Mcalpine show was one of their first ever hangouts, and in late 2023 The Tulips (now The Two Lips) were formed. When asked about their favorite part of working as a duo, they emphasized that they would not be able to do this job alone.
“Especially with everything that has been going on, it’s a lot,” said Julz. “I can only imagine what someone doing it solo would be like.”
Currently on their first tour — The Kiss & Tell Tour — the duo shared they have always intended for their music to be played live. From performing in front of their bedroom mirrors, to now performing in rooms full of people with a live band, The Two Lips continue to emphasize the importance of a live show, something they still find surreal.
