ATHEART SET TO WIN OVER OUR HEARTS: PRESS CONFERENCE
Joining in on a virtual press conference with °1824, upcoming K-Pop girl group AtHeart sat down to discuss all things Plot Twist— their debut EP. They walked through the meaning of their music, their relationships, and even shared personal stories of themselves that perfectly compliments the group’s commitment to being their most authentic selves.
AtHeart is refreshing the K-Pop game— bridging the gap between idol and fan as they make their debut. Consisting of members Michi, Arin, Katelyn, Bome, Seohyeon, and Nahyun, these girls are mixing the classic 3rd-generation K-Pop style with the youthfulness of being a teenager and creating a sound that is uniquely theirs. When asked about the style of their debut concept, the group most notably stated that it could be described as sweet and authentic to their experiences as teenagers. The group shared that they aim to be as relatable as they can, communicating topics like love, self-discovery, and confidence.
Confidence is a key element in AtHeart as a group, and it shows throughout their music. When asked about the fourth track on the EP, “Knew Me,” the group conveyed just that. The group’s main rapper, Katelyn, shared that her confidence comes from striving to look her best, and performing on stage with the group. The girls feed off of each other, and their confidence glows when they are performing.
Similar to their debut song, “Good Girl (AtHeart)" and in the spirit of title track, “Plot Twist,” the girls opened up about elements of themselves that fans might not have known about them as a group at first glance. They agreed upon the statement that as a group they may come off as very sweet with a girly vibe, but they each view themselves as more laid back and adventurous— a concept they would love to explore in their future music.

Something that stood out the most with the group was their absolute admiration for reaching as many audiences as they could through their music. The group has released 5 remixes of “Plot Twist,” including the English version. When asked about this, the members explained that they wanted to reach a vast range of listeners, so they worked with producers and created the remixes in hopes that those who listen to a different style of music would hear one of the tracks and enjoy the group. This idea was especially important to the girls because it encourages them to seek out different styles and share their music with many different parts of the world and the music community.
As for what is next for AtHeart, fans can expect to see them embrace their current sound and down-to-earth personalities, but with a twist as they continue to grow and take on different concepts within their art!
